![]() ![]() Supposedly the terrible gameplay is intentional, but I bet they're just lying. If youre a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are. The cover system doesnt work particularily well, the buttons are layed out stupidly (why would interact and sprint be the same key?! WHY?!) and there are a hell of a lot of things that completely ruin the immersion (sticky nades, special troopers, ridiculous mini boss fights (flashing light room for example)). When focusing on the main objectives, Spec Ops: The Line is about 6 Hours in length. ![]() ![]() Personally I died upwards of 25 times on that scene (suicide mission).Īnyway onto the question, yes the gameplay is pretty terrible. I would wager everyone dies a fair bit on that scene (being what it is). The shooting itself is relatively simple and is the same old style as many other third. These "rn frohm da def beems!" sections have never worked in any game, I have no idea why they are still used.Īs an aside, dont feel bad about dieing there. Spec Ops: The Line is a third person shooter from 2K Games. Constantly sticking by your teammates doesnt work, hugging either wall doesnt work, standing in a position where the shots couldnt get you doesnt work. That is the only approach that worked for me. You will get to a point where your health instantly refills, wait there for about a second, then sprint immediately at your AI teammates. The trick is to sprint immediately to the cover right infront of you, vault it, dont go around it (even though they both take as long), then just sprint forwards. Anyone else find the gameplay to be way to bad ? most people say it's mediocer but to me it feels terrible It's rather sad since graphicly the game looks superb, textures are crisp and detailed, the lighting looks fantastick and so far the writing seems to be solid but the gun play and badly designed scripted parts make the game very unenjoyable. Spec Ops: The Line has terrible gameplay and the big twists were already done dozens of times in other media, and only work in relation to whoever is. I bought the game mainly for the story since everyone kept praising it but the gameplay has so many flaws i'm actully considering to not bother with it anymore at all. I also recommend regular use of hand grenades because you can find quite often crates with equipment.Opprinnelig skrevet av N!GhTmArE:I just died 7 times in a set piece moment, i'm suppose to sprint forward to get away from the chopper but my character keeps dying, even thought the bullets are missing me compleatly my character still keeps losing HP, the game is also not allowing me to take cover in this part since it's a heavily scripted set piece. So it is worth to carry one single weapon with massive fire power and one to which you can easily find ammo. Walker can carry two weapons at any given time and limited number of grenades. You should use this option while you hiding behind the cover, because hits stop the healing process. As for Walker, do not forget about possibility of health bar auto regeneration. If one of your subordinates gets critical damage, you can act in two ways: heal him personally or order other ally to do this (press MMB (middle mouse button) after targeting wounded team member). What's more, you do not have to complete the campaign again in case of skipping any Intel Items, because you can just use the chapter selection option from the main game menu. So you do not have to wait until the team reaches the next checkpoint. Keep in mind that information on finding secrets is stored permanently. ![]()
